Food was absolutely delicious. The amount of food for the price was awesome and the food was ready pretty quick. Will definitely be coming back. I got the chicken biscuit and hashbrowns and they were amazing. The chicken was juicy and crispy with a slight hint of honey. And the hashbrown was crispy with a nice soft center.
This is a delightful breakfast/brunch place! There are fresh flowers everywhere, large glass windows, and a gorgeous outdoor patio. The menu is diverse with good options for vegetarians. Highly recommend the cornbread with sweet butter, as well as the donuts. Service was terrific as well!
Food and atmosphere were as great as it looked online. We went for brunch and got the deviled eggs (they use a really nice olive oil that you can taste) and cornbread to start (perfect balance of sweet and savory) and the brisket was deliciously smoky and tender. All the sides were great too, it’s hard to find a restaurant that can get it all right. My friend ordered the hangar steak, which was good but compared to everything else was my least favorite, just because the cut was kind of thick and hangar steak tends to be chewy. But it was cooked to a good medium rare as requested. My cappuccino was also very good.
I stopped by Ruthie’s All-Day for brunch before heading home, drawn in by its glowing Google description: a chill, light-filled, mid-century modern eatery serving homestyle cooking and a robust drink list. The vibe matched the description perfectly. The menu was incredibly appetizing. To kick things off, we ordered the skillet cornbread and deviled eggs. The cornbread arrived warm, rich with buttery flavor, and was a great start. The deviled eggs were well-seasoned with a unique, intriguing flavor I couldn’t quite pinpoint—but in a good way. For my main course, I went with the steak eggs frites, which came with an 8oz hanger steak topped with chimichurri, two eggs (I chose omelette style with onions and peppers), and hand-punched fries. I also tried the tea refresher, which was refreshing, flavorful, and paired well with the meal. While my steak initially came out well-done instead of medium, the staff handled it gracefully and quickly replaced it. Once the new steak arrived, I was able to enjoy it with the perfectly seasoned fries, eggs, and a beautifully dressed arugula salad that I only wished I could’ve had alongside the steak from the start. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive—and the overall energy of the restaurant felt like a lively neighborhood favorite. It was packed both inside and out, so I’d definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. All in all, I’d rate Ruthie’s a solid 9 out of 10. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more from the menu.
First off, the food is amazingly good, well seasoned, and fast. The crispy wings are the best damn wings I had this year so far. The brisket is good however the chicken has the perfect amout of moisture. The cornbread is a must buy too. The real highlight of today's dinner was our Server JOHN. He is super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive too
Have to say that Ruthie’s lived up to the hype. A great Sunday evening family dinner with delicious food and very generous portions that came out very quick despite the place being so packed. The brisket and chicken were amazing, and the chicken tenders for the kids were also well above what you would get anywhere else. Easy to see why this place consistently gets brought up as one of the top Arlington restaurants.
The patio dining was great! The service was even better! We loved the skillet corn bread and cookies and ice cream! The prices were reasonable and the decor was cute. This was a great find!
I had been eyeing this place since we moved here a year and a half ago — the facade and design really caught my attention. Today we finally went, and I really enjoyed it. We didn’t have a reservation, but they seated us quickly. The indoor dining area was full, so we got a table outside. Despite the heat, it was very pleasant. I went with the Day Special, the Pit Beef Burger — exceptional. Service was attentive and efficient. I’ll definitely be coming back.
